BIOGRAPHY :

 

 

    William Farges was born in 1991. Photographer, he graduated from ETPA and the University of Comporary Arts in Toulouse.

      With his photographs William Farges tries to understand what escapes him, the others. His series explores one by one all the facets of the unknown : its body, its feelings, its language. A protocol is set up : first of all William discusses with his models, asks questions, he tries to understand them. Then he draws the first sketches, each photograph is cleverly thought. He deconstruct, piece by piece, the image of the others and rebuilts in its own space. Nothing is left to chance, the light, the scale, the framework are his recomposition instruments. The picture frame is here not as an end, but as the beginning of the imagination.

    The photographer invites us into his world, a great world without walls and especially filled with air. A world that is simpler, more understandable, more soothing... It’s a world that he has carefully orchestrated.

 

     William Farges est né en 1991. Photographe, il est diplômé de l’ETPA et de l’université d’arts plastiques de Toulouse.

     Avec ses photographies William Farges tente de comprendre cet autre qui lui échappe. Ses séries explorent une à une les facettes de cet inconnu : son corps, ses sentiments, son langage. Un protocole se met en place : en tout premier lieu il discute avec ses modèles, leur pose des questions, il essaie de les comprendre. Ensuite il réalise les premiers croquis, chaque photographie est habilement pensée .Il déconstruit pièce par pièce l’image de l’autre et la reconstruit dans son propre espace. Rien n’est laissé au hasard, la lumière, l’échelle, le cadre sont ses instruments de recomposition. Le cadre de l’image n’est ici pas considéré comme une fin, mais au contraire comme le début de l’imaginaire.

     Le photographe nous invite dans son monde, un monde très grand, sans mur et surtout rempli d’air. Un monde qu’il trouve plus simple, plus compréhensible, plus apaisant.... C’est un monde qu’il a minutieusement orchestré.
